We are thankful for the rain to bring us a clean slate outside for more sidewalk chalk art masterpieces. But besides movies and popcorn, living room picnics, fort creations and puddle jumping in the warm summer rain...what else can us moms pull out of our hats? Here are a few more easy ideas for your next rainy day.
Make Dirt & Worms:

· 1 chocolate pudding packet
· 2 cups of milk
· 20 gummy worms
· Clear cups
Directions:
· Mix the pudding with the milk and then fold in the cool whip.
· Crush the Oreos in a large zip lock bag
· Layer the pudding and cookie mix in 8 cups
· Top with 3 gummy worms
· Refrigerate a couple hours before taking out for a yummy snack
Make a rain boat for the sidewalk gutter
Supplies:
· Pool noodle
· Hot glue
· Sticks
· Feather
· Gems/stickers/ect
Directions:
· Cut off a piece of the noodle – this is the boat
· Add a stick or feather to make a sail
· Decorate!!
· Take it outside and watch it float down the stream of rain. (or gram the hose if you need some more “rain”)
Be a secret agent
Create “laser beams” with painter tape down a hall way. Who can make their way down the hall quietly and quickly like a secret agent without getting zapped by a beam. Time them! Can they beat their own time? It’s fun to run thru and rip them down at the end too! Easy clean up!
Take a Glow Stick Bath
Keep a hidden stash of glowsticks at home for those hard days. This is a great idea for any night when you just need more of a break and/or need your kids to kill some time an unwind.
Pudding Playdough
Ingredients:
· 1 pudding pouch (I used vanilla)
· 1 cup cornstarch
·1/3 cup warm water
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together with your hands, I added a couple drops of (lemon) essential oil for an added nice smell
Experiment with colors and scents!
